⚡Carbon Load Shifting ⚡

Enabling Net Zero through enabling grid interactive efficient buildings.

We’ve been working with our customers & partners to adjust their power consumption to align with periods of lower carbon production.

We are doing this through demand side flexibility.

What do you know about flexibility?

If you know us, you’ll know we’re passionate about accelerating the journey to Net Zero and the power of flexibility in commercial buildings, so speak about it often, but in case you want to brush up:

Flexibility in the energy system is the ability to change how much energy is being used. On the generation side, this means being able to increase or decrease generation based on changing demand.

On the demand side, this could mean turning down equipment use to prevent electricity bottlenecks or turning equipment up to use more wind energy to avoid paying twice for energy.

We’re working with our clients and partners to avoid carbon emissions by reducing consumption when, for example, a cloud passes over a solar farm and a gas station needs to be turned on to make up the difference.

Doing this not only reduces carbon but avoids the need to install expensive technologies on the grid, reducing the costs of electricity.
