Thanks to Grid Edge, we've made significant strides towards our sustainability goals. With their Edge2X system, we've cut carbon emissions by 44,522 kg CO2e at our headquarters in less than five months. Their insights have been instrumental in helping us achieve significant savings and align with our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact to reducing our environmental impact.

Grid Edge technology was the ideal solution for the Royal Opera House as we set the foundations to reach net zero by 2035. Grid Edge is one of many new developments ROH has invested in in recent years in order for us to move our operations towards a more sustainable future. We are currently in the implementation phase linking the Grid Edge Technology with operational data from our Building Management System. Once completed, the technology will allow us to see in real time how we are performing against targets which is an invaluable resource as we take our next steps on this journey.

Grid Edge is used to dynamically monitor and manage the energy load within our buildings. This system allows [us] to plan the energy strategy for the buildings day-by-day in response to forecasts of temperature and footfall and understand how it’s really performing.

The Grid Edge platform has helped us not only pinpoint exactly where assets were overrunning but has also given us the tools we need to reduce energy usage, lower our carbon footprint and ultimately save on costs long-term.
